Living on a Heartbeat Machine is a momento of the heart beat machine tit-tling in the hospital.
A lady was sitting on an armchair in a private hospital room in front of her husband who was sleeping on the bed. She'd been there for nearly 3 months and the room has become a home to her. Her husband has been in coma for a couple of months and nobody knows when he is going to be awake again. The doctors warned her to prepare for the worst.
As she looked around the room, she started paying close attention to every little thing that vibrate the space. But one thing stick-out from the rest is the heartbeat machine next to her husband's bed.
The heartbeat machine shows the line of life. The sound of it tells her how fast his heartbeat goes. It seems so normal now that it has become part of him. Until he is gone - for good.
1.5 years later....
It is her beloved husband's first [death] anniversary. It is this day last year when the heartbeat machine line went flat and the long sustain tone announced his departure.
She misses him everyday since he left; but every time she thought of him, the heartbeat machine began to ring in her ears. It has become part of him to her. It has become the reminder of him for as long as she lives.
"If only, there is a way to convert the dullest tone into music... I will not mind living on a heartbeat machine; because I want to remember him by that in a happier moment ever. If only I could..."
